De namen in het bericht dat pulsafe in de post boven me had gepost klinken wel vrij Indiaas. Daarnaast zou ik als toerist niet een rivier met borden en hekken vlakbij de waterval oversteken. Al moet ik zeggen dat je zo'n vloedgolf natuurlijk nooit verwacht.

I'm from the place(Indore,India),where this happened, currently living in australia. A little background info about this place. It's called "patalpani", "patal" meaning hell/underworld and "pani" meaning water.

This place is notorious for accidents like these,caught on camera for the first time though. These people that you see and the one shooting the video have ignored the huge warning signs and stepped over the security barriers that the government puts up. You are not allowed to be that close to where they are standing,let alone the people actually being swept away.

Apparently the show-offs that go there claiming nothing is going to happen, learn it the hard way, I don't know how can people still do the same thing over and over after we've had truck loads of accidents like these there. Also, during the summer,people actually walk all the way down,walking treacherously on slippery rock and narrow ledges that have been carved by the water. /rant

Here is an image of the huge warning that clearly says,it is an offence to get near/in the waterfall,penalties of Rs500(approx 10$US) apply
