A women arrested twice in the span of five days is now being held at Placer County Jail following a hit and run incident. The day after being released from the Roseville jail Deirdre Orozco, 50, attempted to run two young women off the road while traveling east bound on Interstate 80, near the Dutch Flat exit Dec. 21. The two women recorded the incident and posted it to Facebook where it has accumulated more than 70,000 views. Orozco was seen in the video driving a grey truck yelling, honking and trying to push the two women, in a white Mazda, off the road. At one point Orozco can be seen pulling in front of the victim’s car, stopping and getting out claiming to be a member of law enforcement and shouting to the occupants that they must pull over. The frantic driver can be heard saying “this is crazy … I don’t know what to do.” At one point Orozco’s vehicle slams into the side of the victims. The passenger can be heard calling 911. The pair pulled off at Dutch Flat into a 76 gas station where a police officer was waiting. Attempts to reach the women involved were unsuccessful. Orozco was arrested on charges of suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon that isn’t a firearm and force that is likely to produce great bodily harm, reckless driving on a public street and obstructing a police officer, according to the Placer County Sheriff’s in custody report. Orozco’s prior arrest involved a hit and run, officials said. “Orozco was previously arrested in the afternoon of December 17 for suspicion of a hit and run that she was involved in on the corner of Sunrise Ave. and Cirby Way in Roseville,” said Dee Dee Gunther, Roseville Police Department spokeswoman. “She proceeded to drive to her relatives’ house where she threw rocks through the windows, vandalizing the home and issuing threats of bodily harm.” After being booked on December 17 she was released two days later on December 19. Orozco remains in Placer County Jail on $25,000 bail.
